The Board of Education of Carroll County is inviting community members to review instructional materials being considered for use in Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) for the 2025-2026 school year. This initiative provides an opportunity for public input on educational resources before they are finalized for classroom instruction.
The materials will be available for review by appointment only, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., beginning March 17 through May 31, 2024. Reviews will take place in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, located in room 109 of the Board of Education offices at 125 North Court Street in Westminster.
Members of the community, along with the CCPS Curriculum Council, are encouraged to examine the proposed List of Instructional Materials for the upcoming school year and submit feedback through the official Comment Form. Those interested in reviewing materials must schedule an appointment by calling 410-751-3046.
The CCPS Curriculum Council will convene on Friday, May 16, 2025, to discuss the instructional materials and finalize their recommendations. These recommendations will then be presented to the Board of Education at its June 11, 2025, meeting for consideration and approval.
For further details, community members can contact Steven Wernick, CCPS Director of Curriculum and Instruction, at 410-751-3000.
